Research study examining the role of the dentate gyrus in approach-avoidance conflict processing and spatial pattern separation. We find a double dissociation between the ventral and dorsal regions, with inactivation of the former impacting approach-avoidance conflict processing and inactivation of the latter having a significant effect on spatial pattern separation.
