Congratulations to Sonja for successfully passing her final oral exam. Her thesis, entitled 'Distinguishing Medial Temporal Lobe and Prefrontal Cortex Contributions to Approach-Avoidance Conflict in Healthy Controls and Generalized Anxiety Disorder: Insights from Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging and the Hierarchical Drift Diffusion Model', describes two fMRI studies examining the role of the prefrontal and medial temporal lobe regions in approach-avoidance conflict decision making.
